Historikk

RSS finnes i en rekke ulike versjoner, og forkortelsen har blitt omdefinert en rekke ganger. Se Specification History for en oversikt.

Bruksområder

RSS var i begynnelsen et format som skulle gjøre det mulig å abonnere på "innhold", men har etter hvert blitt tatt i bruk på stadig flere områder.
